Your Very Own PC Telepromptor

Posted by: | Comments (0)

So we all known that some people rely on them too much perhaps, but there is a place, even in your YouTube world for a Telepromptor.

In this age of YouTube all you need is a computer with a Webcam and you have your very own Video Studio. Lets face it you do not even have to be that good to get noticed, you just have to be better than millions of other people.

So believe it or not, rules of quality still apply on the Internet. a big part of the success or lack there of, is found in your presentation. Don’t forget a little good content doesn’t hurt either, but presentation is the main thing as many content poor videos have made it big.

So to be like the President just turn your computer into a teleprompter with TeleKast. This FREE program allows you to create and segment scripts. Print them out or display them in real-time.

While it can’t display mirror images, yet (remember it’s free), this means it won’t replace professional teleprompter software. However, for the youth worker on a budget or better yet, without a budget – It’s perfect.

So download and create that next “big thing” online! Download HERE.

Create a Flipbook from Video

Posted by: | Comments (0)

I remember as a child drawing little stick men in the corners of my school books.  Each page the stick man would move ever so slightly until after 20 or more pages you had your own little ADD flipbook.  I realize that flipbooks may ave fallen out of favor with the advent of video and youtube etc. but they are still fun.  My computer does not even know they exist because it keeps insisting that there is no such word as “flipbook”.

But come on you can admit it, you miss the little flipbooks.  Well miss them no more!  There is a great little tool that will take a piece of video and turn it into a flipbook and then all your do is print and assemble.  If you are like me and have some business card stock laying around you have it made.  This little beauty will print to that stock directly.

Now image this…. you have a youth event coming up and you want to get kids excited about it.  Create a flipbook or two from video of last years event and leave them laying around the youth room. Make the last page of them a mini add reminding students to sign up for the big event.  Tada you are a advertising genius!

This works best with short videos. And you don’t have to print every frame. You choose how many to skip between printed frames.  Buck check it out and let me know what you think.

Video Quick and Easy!

Posted by: | Comments (0)

One of the youth workers best friends these days is a little quick video camera.  There is nothing easier than a flip video camera!  I have one of the first models they made and I continue to be a mazed at its quality. In todays HD world flip has stayed right up there with the times and they have several HD models.

Flip Video makes some of the best-known pocket camcorders. It has five models. Each features a big red record button and flip-out USB connector.
